20 years in Egypt is a long time. Indeed, Ain Sokhna is the quickest way to escape Cairo. That is why I prefer to go there instead of Sharm el Sheikh.

The last time I was in terminal 1 as kid. Of course T1 needs modification like the other terminals. Also because the entire airport has reached its capacity. Egyptair is currently opening new routes, but without sufficient aircraft, which leads to delays. Terminal 1 needs to be modified.

@@GuidanceX to be honest the terminal 3 is starting to get old too. I think terminal 1 should be renovated and be used by foreign airlines and terminal 2 as another terminal for less stress in terminal 1. Terminal 3 should be renovated and be used for low cost Egyptian airlines like Air Cairo and Fly Egypt. A new world class terminal 4 like Dubai and Doha should be built for EgyptAir

Definitely, if T3, which opened in 2008, is now reaching its capacity limit, it raises questions about the design. If Corona had not severely affected aviation for 2 years, the capacity limit would have been reached earlier. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the entire Cairo airport is not competitive. Egyptair is also falling behind compared to other airlines.

Yes, they did. I went to the purser to unlock my window. It was dark outside, so this concept doesn't make sense to me.

The entertainment is quite nice. You can choose between a lot of movies, but the newest movies you won’t find to be honest. The navigation program is good. For the new Airbus 321neo the navigation program received an update and offer more information with the possibility to move the cursor over specific cities.

This is a legitimate question that I get asked often. In Egypt the lanes only have a cosmetic purpose. The width is used completely regardless of the lanes. This also applies to the zebra crossing (crosswalk).

No, the police are driving like the others. It's an Egyptian thing. I learned in Germany how important it is to stay in the lane, so I understand your point of view.

That isn’t easy to answer. I would say Eastern Cairo (El Nozha, Heliopolis and Nasr City) is the best developed area due to modifications currently. However, further modifications are underway elsewhere in the city.
